Four Unique Place Card Ideas

Place cards and escort cards don’t have to be a folded piece of paper! Check out these fun ideas for some creative inspiration.

Agate Slices
Give off all of the boho vibes with gorgeous agate slices! These are really pretty and come in every color under the sun, from natural shades to bold jewel tones. They add a really special touch to your wedding (giving your guests something pretty to take home, too!). Add them to your table settings for your next dinner party to really elevate the meal!

Seashells
Is the beach your happy place? Getting married on the water? Seashells are the perfect way to add that nautical, beachy touch to your day! Oyster shells make a great canvas for writing names and table numbers, as do larger shells.

Tiles
Tiles aren’t just for backsplashes! With their flat, smooth surface and the variety of shapes and sizes available, they are perfect to use to tell your guests where to sit. My personal favorite are these dove gray, crackled arabesque tiles. So striking!

Vellum
Now vellum is a type of paper, but it looks a lot different than your basic folded card! It’s thin and translucent, giving an ethereal look to your place settings. Add a bow on the end in your wedding color (use different colors to represent the meal your guest ordered, if you’re doing a sit-down dinner) and a shimmery ink to tie the whole look together with your vellum place cards!

These are just a few ideas! And if you prefer simple and classic, paper place cards are the way to go. What’s the most unique place card you’ve ever seen?
