Simple & Elegant Place Card DIY

Let’s make some simple, elegant and beautiful place cards to pretty up your holiday table! Just because your Thanksgiving gathering is smaller this year doesn’t mean it can’t feel special. Use these as place cards or food labels for a buffet to add an elegant hand lettered touch to your table!

You’ll Need:

Instructions:

Sorry in advance about the different lighting in the pictures. It was rainy when I did this and the light wasn’t good! There’s also a filter on the last photo.

  • Cut your cardstock into small rectangles, 3.5”x2”. I used a paper cutter but you all you really need is scissors!

  • Take your hole punch and punch two small holes about a third of the way down the short side of your rectangle. These should be about 1/4” apart, and don’t have to be perfect!

  • Grab your ribbon. Cut a piece about 6” long.

  • Thread the ribbon through the holes you just punched. Make sure that the ribbon is even on both sides. The side with the ribbon hanging out is the front of your place card.

  • Take your eucalyptus stem and cut a piece about 3”ish long. Lay that on top of your place card and tie the ribbon into a bow around it.

  • Tighten the bow and trim the ends as needed.

There you go! You can really make these your own with different colored ribbon, paper or ink. These would be really pretty for Christmas with red cardstock and white lettering! And you don’t have to be limited to place cards - you can use these for food labels, too, if you’re having a buffet!
